They were just wonderful! From the very beginning, Ian responded to my house/pet sitting post and was very eager with regular communications, answering all of my questions, working out the details via email, then meeting with me for a couple of hours before I departed.
He worked around my departure and return schedule, so that we had the chance to meet in person and go over all details. Ian took remarkably great care of my home and of my cat. He dealt with some surprises and issues along the way, including a few bouts of illness with my cat, and other surprises that country living often brings. He sent regular emails to me, providing updates on how things were going, asking any questions/getting clarifications and keeping me apprised of everything.
He also met my neighbors and joined in on some community events. He fully took good advantage of his time in my neighborhood.
I highly recommend Ian and Brigitte as excellent, high-quality house/pet sitters, and I confirm their perfect five-star rating with the same rating from me.

Nothing to do with Ian, but our central heating boiler died a few days before we were due to go away.
Despite emailing Ian and giving him the chance to call off, he did not hesitate in assuring us he would survive the cold weather and lack of heating.
We are of course, tremendously grateful to him for this, as trying to find an alternative arrangement for a pet sitter would have been pretty much impossible had he decided not to come.
